After a two year hiatus from in-person events, Essence Music Festival returns bigger and better than ever for 2022. The lineup boasts heavy hitters including Janet Jackson, Jazmine Sullivan and gracing the Essence Main Stage for the first time ever - Nicki Minaj!
The annual festival that takes place every Fourth of July weekend in New Orleans will span across four days on June 30 - July 3. The weekend will be packed with music and events sure to bring visitors to New Orleans from far and near.
Evening concerts taking place in the Superdome require a ticket, but daytime events and seminars at the Convention Center are free and open to the public. Everyone must register with Essence to attend and stay updated on the latest news.
In accordance with local regulations for the City of New Orleans, all attendees will be required to show a valid photo ID and proof of full vaccination.
